Rod ends requiring maintenance

Are complete units comprising a housing with an integral shank and a spherical plain bearing requiring maintenance
- The integral shank has an external thread
- The spherical plain bearing is firmly seated and located in the housing
Can support radial loads in a tensile or compressive direction
Can transmit moment-free motion and loads
Are suitable for alternating loads
- They are suitable for unilateral load in certain cases
Are protected against corrosion by a zinc plating
Can be lubricated via taper design lubrication nipples or through the housing bore
The thin walled design of the eye housing allows compact adjacent constructions

Sealed rod ends requiring maintenance

Are protected against contaminants and spray by
- Lip seals

Rod ends to DIN 648, series E

Are fitted with radial spherical plain bearings SBM..DO or SBM..DO-2RS
Have a right hand or left hand internal or external thread
Have a taper design lubrication nipple to DIN 71412

Rod ends to DIN 648, series K

Have a steel/bronze sliding contact surface
Have a right hand or left hand internal or external thread
Have a funnel type lubrication nipple to DIN 3405 on the eye housing
